Overview

Worked within Apple’s - Channel Online organization supporting the On-Device team, responsible for localized retail display experiences in Apple stores, as well as in the stores of global partners - including Costco, Amazon, Verizon, Best Buy, and others.

Supported production and localization workflows for on-device iPhone presentations shown in physical retail environments across 77 locales and 45 languages.

My Role

As part of the On-Device production team, I managed asset preparation, quality control, localization workflows, and production-ready exports for Apple retail presentation content displayed on in-store demo devices.

My work focused on:

  • Production design execution

  • GEO localization

  • PSD build production

  • Asset management

  • Quality assurance

  • Naming convention compliance

  • Cross-functional collaboration

  • Multi-language production workflows

The Workflow

1. FPO Asset Preparation

The process began with receiving FPO design PNG files from the Design team.

My responsibilities included:

  • Reviewing incoming assets against production specifications

  • Building structured PSD production files

  • Verifying sizing, layouts, and production requirements

  • Organizing files according to naming conventions

  • Creating PNG exports for validation

  • Performing internal QA checks and identifying missing or incorrect elements before delivery

After internal review, assets were sent back to the Design team for validation.

2. Final Production & Validation

Once final assets were approved by Producers and the export files for final production by Design team, I prepared production-ready deliverables for deployment.

This included:

  • Updating existing PSD systems with final assets for US-EN locales

  • Integrating localized screens into hardware mockups

  • Applying Graphic Production (GP) tools and AI-assisted production workflows

  • Generating final exports

  • Performing detailed quality control reviews

  • Coordinating Design Validation and Content Validation stages across teams

Final approved assets were then delivered to development teams for implementation.

3. GEO Localization

A major part of the workflow involved adapting assets across 77 locales and approximately 45 languages while maintaining Apple’s visual consistency and production standards across global markets.

For each launch, Producers provided GEO localization matrices specifying the regions and languages needed asset support. Based on those requirements, I:

  • Built CSV files for GP Screen Replacement tools

  • Created large-scale multilingual exports across multiple locales

  • Managed localization-ready production files and asset organization

  • Conducted detailed localization QA reviews

  • Ensured visual consistency across all regions, languages, and formats

  • Helped streamline workflows and reduce manual production time

This process required strong attention to detail, proactive workflow management, and close collaboration across Production, Design, and GEO Localization teams to ensure assets were accurate, polished, and ready for global deployment.
